In this TikTok (https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMADgv6Sr/) conservative commentator Charlie Kirk (R.I.P) boldly claims that “Palestine doesn’t exist,” dismissing it as a legitimate entity and insisting the region should be called Judea and Samaria instead.
By that logic, could I argue the United States doesn’t exist either? It’s not an ancient, unchanging land, it’s a construct built on colonized territory. What’s the national identity of the USA? There isn’t a singular one; it’s a diverse blend of immigrants, descendants of enslaved people, and indigenous communities, with no dominant ethnicity. How do Native American languages refer to this land? Many indigenous groups call it Turtle Island, a term predating “America” and rooted in their cultural worldview. At what point does someone truly “become” American; through birth, citizenship, or something deeper?
Let’s recall Odin’s wise words to Thor in “Thor: Ragnarok”: “Asgard is not a place. It’s a people.” Similarly, Palestine is not just a spot on a map but a resilient people with a shared history, culture, and identity that persists beyond borders or occupation.

A Robbery on so Large a Scale”: 140 Years after the Berlin West Africa Conference
We should also consider that many African nations “don’t exist” in the same artificial sense, their boundaries drawn by European colonizers at the Berlin Conference of 1884–85, ignoring ethnic and cultural realities. Yet these nations endure as sovereign states. Charlie Kirk conveniently overlooks this broader historical context when it fits his narrative. Can you feel the hypocrisy now?
