Eternal Avenger Undoing the Tohu VaBohu

Let me tell you about the man who wrote Genesis. Who was he? Moses, raised in Pharaoh’s palace like a prince. What kind of education did he get? The best the ancient world offered: think PhD-level mastery of Egyptian history, astronomy, mythology, and politics. When did he live? Right in the heart of empire, surrounded by stories of gods battling chaos. Why did God pick him to pen the Torah’s opening words? Because Moses knew the Enuma Elish, the Memphite Theology, the Sumerian king lists, every tale of Marduk slaying Tiamat. Whose archives did he raid? The royal libraries stuffed with clay tablets about cataclysms, floods, fallen divinities. Moses didn’t copy those pagan myths. He flipped them upside down, showing tohu va-bohu not as equal-opponent warfare but as God’s righteous judgment on rebellion older than Egypt itself. Come with me; let’s walk through this together.

The Cosmic Secret Hidden in Plain Sight: What if I told you Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” isn’t the absolute start? Who says the very next verse breaks the rhythm? Moses does: “The earth was without form and void, darkness over the deep.” What does tohu va-bohu really mean in Hebrew? Not neutral potential: judgment. Where else do we see that phrase? Isaiah 34:11, Jeremiah 4:23: lands wrecked by divine wrath. When does God author confusion? Never. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says so.

So what happened between verses 1 and 2? A gap: not grammar, but cosmic ages. Who created worlds and destroyed them? God, says Bereshit Rabbah 3:7. Who speculated Lucifer’s fall wrecked the earth? Early fathers like Origen. Whose Eden hosted a glorious being before Adam? Ezekiel 28:13-15’s.

Whose stories echo this everywhere? Yours, mine, everyone’s. Among my own Bantu people in Buganda, who came from heaven? Kintu with Nambi. Who followed to break paradise? Walumbe (Death itself from Tanda), unleashing chamas. Sumerians mourn drowned kings; Mayans carve worlds swallowed by water and fire. Adam? Not the first. He was the reboot, planted in ruins.

But who’s hiding this today? Modern empires: academies, media giants. Why? Because if Christ was slain before foundations, whose thrones crumble? Theirs. They fear the Lamb unsealing the scroll (Revelation 5) and toppling every fake kingdom. So they rewrite history, bury artifacts, silence texts. Don’t let them.

The Watchers, the Nephilim, and the Violence That Demanded a Slaying: Who shouted for joy when earth was founded? The “sons of God” (Job 38:7): no metaphors, real angelic stewards, radiant guardians. Who named 200 of them? The Book of Enoch. Where did they land? Mount Hermon under Samyaza. What did they do? Took human daughters, birthed Nephilim “fallen ones” (Genesis 6:4).

Who filled the earth with chamas? These hybrids: lawless brutality (Genesis 6:11). What knowledge did they leak? Metallurgy, sorcery, war. Whose bloodlines got hijacked? Humanity’s. Who stayed pure? Noah: tamim, spotless DNA (Genesis 6:9).

Who sent the flood? God: surgical mercy, not tantrum. When? Fountains burst, heavens opened (Genesis 7:11). What sank? Whole civilizations: Gobekli Tepe, Baalbek’s megastones. Yet who survived “also afterward”? Nephilim echoes: Goliath, titan myths.

What’s our real fight? Tohu va-bohu reborn in our violence. Violence is the anomaly: God’s order ruptured. Sin? Just the symptom, the lie that justifies it. Death? The consequence: genetic rot, spiritual decay. Who undoes the chain? Christ. Grasp this, and you grasp the Gospel beyond Christianity.

Christ Before the Foundations: The Lamb Slain for Creation’s Violence, Not God’s Demand: Who is the Lamb “slain from the foundation of the world”? Christ (Revelation 13:8): before Genesis, before the gap, before Lucifer’s pride. Whose “I am” stunned the ages? His “Before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58).

Whose bloodlust is the cross? Not God’s. He needs no payment. Whose violence demanded it? Ours: angelic coups, hybrid horrors, human chamas. We built the slaughterhouse; God absorbed the blow. Whose law says blood remits? The violent cosmos we forged (Hebrews 9:22).

Who is the ultimate Avenger? Christ: not comic-book rage, but mystic flip: violence kills the Innocent, the Slain rises, chain snapped. Where did chamas peak? Roman nails, Jewish cries, cosmic sneers (Colossians 2:15). Yet whose words rang out? “Father, forgive” (Luke 23:34). In the sin matrix, who tackles death head-on? Christ: genetic healing, spiritual resurrection, the ancient dream of God fulfilled.

Whose walls fall? Denominations: Catholic rites, Protestant fire, Orthodox icons, all shadows. Whose supremacy dies? Every religion’s. Hindus wrestle karma, Muslims submit, indigenous spirits war: all facing tohu va-bohu. The cross? Universal key: violence met with open arms, chaos ordered by sacrifice.

The Gospel’s Purpose: Undoing Violence from Eternity to Eternity: The gospel isn’t escape insurance. It’s cosmic U-turn. Who failed the garden? Adam, dust-shaped guardian (Genesis 2:7). Who reclaims it? Christ, Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45). He walks into our chamas: betrayed, whipped, nailed: not victim, Victor!

Pre-Foundation Plan→ Who planned the slaying before rebellion? God (1 Peter 1:19-20): for worlds unborn.

Incarnation→ Who stepped into ruins? The Word made flesh.

Cross→ Who absorbed chamas? Christ: powers disarmed (Colossians 2:15).

Resurrection→ Who burst tohu va-bohu? New creation: no curse (Revelation 22:3).

Ascension → Who holds the scroll? The slain Lamb: worthy!

Whose tree foreshadows Calvary? Eden’s tree of life. Whose spear pierces the guard? John 19:34: veil ripped.

Transcending Divisions: The Cross as Humanity’s Shared Meaning: Who owns this truth? Nobody: Baptist, Pentecostal, atheist, all face violence. Whose chamas nailed Him? Yours, mine. Yet whose sting kills chamas? His. Supremacy ends; the slain Lamb unites us.

What’s the call? Honesty and humility: strip pride, confess violent hearts, bow to the Avenger who took our blow.

You’re in the story. Before foundations, Christ bled for your violence. You are summoned to metanoia, a total mind-flip in light of these unsettling revelations?
