In Christian-context training Bible studies can be important tools for connecting to the core values and driving passions of our participants. Many traditional Bible studies are more lectures or sometimes open discussions around a Bible passage or story. In our experiential education toolbox we integrate participatory and experiential activities into the exploration of the biblical stories. The “Bible Study Manual on Conflict Transformation” on this website (in 10 languages!) has 17 Bible studies using experiential education methodologies.
But for our toolbox for conflict transformation training these are our favorite experiential Bible studies:
Paul & Barnabas–Acts 15.36-41
The Sermon on the Mount, Transforming Initiatives–Matthew 5.38-41
Rizpah–2 Samuel 21.1-14
Esther and the Social Barometer–Esther 4.1-17
Truth, Mercy, Justice & Peace–Psalm 85.10
